3rd Eye Photojournalism Center:

Established in 2007 with permits from Ministry of Information & Culture of The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. The 3rd Eye Photojournalism Center is made up of 4 photographic artists Najibullah Musafer, Basir Seerat, Reza Yemak & Reza Sahel as a team who are the founders of 3rd Eye too. Now 3rd Eye has been enriched with more members such as Jahida Sadat from Herat, Mehdi Mehrayeen from Bamyan, Ali Omid from Dykoundi , Farzana Zebakalam from Maidan Wardak & R. Moshkin Qalam from Ghazni.

Third Eye Photojournalism is national Photojournalism center in Afghanistan that supports the photographers’ families via national and international media as well as by working with local and international NGOs.

3rd Eye exhibitions and projects:

  • 3rd Eye Photojournalism Center held many exhibitions, training workshops and implemented excellent projects around Afghanistan. We started by the first permanent photo exhibition in Kabul which is open now.
  • First photography exhibition by the name of 3rd Eye in French Cultural Center which was the start of working together in opening ceremony of 3rd Eye In Afghanistan- 2007
  • Exhibition titled story of silent from different figures of social life & human rights- 2007
  • Photo exhibition on the occasion of human rights in Kabul, Herat, Mazar-e- Sharif, Nangarhar & Bamiyan supported by AIHRC- 2008
  • Photo Exhibition titled stop violence against women in Kabul & Heart- 2008
  • Photo Exhibition on women rights by 3rd Eye in Ministry of Foreign Affairs on international human rights day- 2008
  •  Training & photo exhibition by the name of effects of globalizations- 2008. In this workshop 12 students and photographers attended then photographers held the exhibition in foundation of civil society & culture. Photo exhibition on political participation of women in election organized in Kabul National gallery- 2009
  • photo exhibition on the occasion of Children Day in Kabul and Jalal Abad- 2009
  • Photo exhibition on the occasion of women day 8th march in Women National Park- 2009
  •  2009 workshop of photography training in Marifat High school- 2009. Then, all the students who participated the workshop held the first multiple exhibition in Phladilphia USA & Afghanistan. The photos were from the students of Phladilphia High school USA & Marifat High School in Kabul.
  •  Photo exhibition in Korea. Photographers were Afghan & Non Afghan- 2009
  • Slide show for women about the women situation in Afghanistan-2010
  • Photo exhibitions in US embassy in Kabul, Comp of the international solders in Bagram, titled “See the changes”- 2010
  • 2010 Training of Multimedia in Kabul, Kapisa, Mazar – Sharif, Heart, bamiyan & Jalal Abad which was supported by the USAID, INTERNEWS & NAI supporter of open media- 2010
  • Exhibition of the abstract photography in Afghanistan Culture House which was the start day of working with new figure of the culture- 2010
  • Training photography in Bamiyan for 12 students from central highlands provinces- 2010. Each province sent two students in the workshop. The workshop was supported by the Prance Clause foundation from Amasterdam & the provinces from which students were introduced includded Day Koundi, Ghor, Maidan Wardak, Samangan, Bamyian & Ghazni. At the end of training 3rd Eye hehld an excellent exhibition for the first time in the Cave over the Salsal Buddha to show who will work in Bamiyan historical sculptures.
  • 3rd Eye has started to train the journalists who are really interested in photography in Kabul- 2011. The students are paying fee for one semester workshop. 

 

    • Najibullah Musafer is working as director of 3rd Eye Photojournalism Center.
    • Basir Seerat is working as editor in chief of 3rd Eye & acting as supervisor for the projects.
    • Reza Yemak is a team member & adviser of the projects.
    • Reza Sahel working as team member of the photographers but he is working as Finance Officer & photo Editor too.
